Verotec recently supplied a number of desktop VME64x chassis’ to the US naval air systems command (NAVAIR) to facilitate the research and development of a radar tracking system.
The custom solution included a 6U/6 slot VME64x backplane & card cage, dual redundant / hot swap power supplies & an optimized fan cooling arrangement.
In addition, the heavy duty, EMC-rated enclosure housed a rear transition unit for the plugging of I/O cards, two standard 5¼“ drive caddies for storage devices and LED indicators to monitor the power & fan status.
