Verotec have been working closely with a large European defence contractor to design, develop and manufacture a number of complex VPX systems in support of a key new MOD programme.
The 8U, 19” rack mounting units comprise two independent, secure subracks for sensitive electronic communication equipment to reside and be tested.
Each RFI-shielded compartment contains two OpenVPX backplanes and a 1KW power supply, whilst cooling is provided by two filtered DC fan trays.
A mix of ethernet, fibre and coax interconnects located at the rear carry the various I/O signals to and from the outside world.
