Verotec have recently completed a lengthy design and engineering exercise and begun shipping a number of VMEbus-based crates as part of an on-going programme in support of a nuclear application.
Built from our MIL- STD.167 compliant KM6-HD product range, the 8U, 19” chassis houses a monolithic, 21 Slot VME backplane along with a 6U/160mm front card area and rear I/O plug up area. DC Cooling fans are located on a hot-swap, filtered tray and driven by a custom PCB housed at the rear of the unit that also provides fan fail indication / remote signalling.
